Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI for alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now scrapped liquor policy for 2021-22 in the national capital.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday sent the names of AAP MLAs Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi to the Lieutenant Governor for appointment in the Delhi Cabinet.
This comes a day after Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain resigned from the cabinet following their arrest. Satyendar Jain was arrested in 2022 and since his arrest, the additional charge rested with Sisodia, who was in charge of 18 departments till Tuesday.
Sisodia and Jain could lose their seats and be barred from contesting elections for six years if sentenced to two years or more in prison.
