Corp Drama to compete with Marvel Studios’ much-anticipated epic adventure ‘Eternal’ at the box office
The co-drama “Suryavanshi” starring Akshay Kumar will be released in theaters across the world on Diwali, director Rohit Shetty announced on Saturday.

The 48-year-old director used social media to share the film’s new release date after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced the reopening of cinemas in the state from October 22.
“Thank you to our Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray for reopening the cinema in Maharashtra from 22nd October. And finally !!! We can say, this Diwali… the police are coming…, ”Shetty wrote.
Earlier in the day, a delegation of filmmakers and theater owners, including Shetty, met Thackeray and discussed the reopening of cinemas in Maharashtra, a major sector of the film business – from April this year. Closed by the second wave of Kovid-1.
“We are thankful to the chief minister for allowing cinemas to operate,” Kumar said in a Twitter post.

“Suryavanshi” was originally scheduled to release on March 24, 2020, but was delayed due to a coronavirus epidemic, which closed cinemas across the country. The producers had then planned for the Diwali 2020 premiere but this year it was postponed to April 30.
This is Shetty’s fourth film in the copy world, which also features blockbuster Ajay Devgn’s “Singham”, “Singham Returns” and Ranveer Singh’s “Simba”.
Both Devgan and Singh will be seen in cameo roles in “Suryavanshi”, which also features Katrina Kaif.
The upcoming film is being presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Rohit Shetty Pictures in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.
“Suryavanshi” will be the first major Bollywood project to be released in cinemas during the epidemic. At the box office, it will clash with Marvel Studios’ long-awaited epic adventure film “Eternal”, which will be released on November 5.
