Solapur / Ashok Kamble – The Hindi film “Kasturi” directed by Vinod Kamble of Barshi has been adjudged as the best children’s film at the recently concluded 67th National Film Festival. Talking about it, the director of the film Vinod Kamble says, “My parents are cleaners. So the problems I faced while living as a child are a musk film made out of my own social pain.”
Explaining his life journey from the son of a cleaner in Barshi to the director of a national award winning musk film, Vinod Kamble says that he completed his primary, secondary and tertiary education in Barshi. He completed his civil engineering from Karad in Satara district. After that he studied MPSC for one year. While studying for his MPSC, a life-changing incident took place. I decided to leave the competitive exams and go to the field of cinema. From there I started writing stories and screenplays. I watched a lot of movies. I did extra reading. While watching movies in the movie theater in Barshit, I wanted my name to appear on the screen. I started walking accordingly. As a cleaner’s son, he suffered many hardships and the story of Kastur came out of it.
The story of Kasturi movie is about a boy who is studying at the age of eight. He wants to study a lot but the situation keeps getting worse. He is working on cleaning, cleaning the toilet. The father is doing postmortem work. He is working with the father. He does not tolerate it. Therefore, he develops anorexia nervosa. He learns that there is a substance called musk. If you make a perfume, its fragrance does not go away for months. Therefore, the boy understands that he can sit in four quarters. From that, the boy finds musk. The change in the acquisition of musk is a musk film. The film conveys the message of self-illumination as told by Lord Gautam Buddha. Kasturi has been produced in Pune by producing insight films. All the filming of Kasturi has been shot in Barshi. The film stars Samarth Sonawane, Anil Kamble, Vaishali Kendale, Malsiddh Deshmukh, Ajay Chavan, Kunal Pawar, Jaybhim Shinde, Vijay Shikhare, Wahidpasha Sheikh and Lalabhai Sheikh.
The problems in the life of the cleaners and their place in the society are always ignored in the film. It is very clearly shown in the film. Finally, director Vinod Kamble said that he has tried to give the best message in the film.
