Dalwai also criticized the UP Chief Minister’s Mumbai visit to attract domestic investors ahead of the Global Investors Summit in Lucknow next month.
Mumbai : The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray group) has hit out at Congress leader and former MP Hussain Dalwai after courting a political controversy by commenting on the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s ‘saffron dress’.
Uddhav faction leader Anand Dubey slammed the Congress leader for his statement on Thursday, saying that saffron (saffron) is our “soul”, without considering its other significance. “We do not agree with Hussain Dalwai’s comments about UP Chief Minister’s attire. Saffron (saffron) is not just a color, but a symbol of India’s culture and tradition. It is the mark of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Hindu Swarajya. It is like our soul,” said Dubey.
Dalwai said on Wednesday that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh should wear modern clothes instead of saffron attire.
“Don’t talk about religion everyday, don’t wear saffron clothes and be a bit modern. Embrace modern ideas,” said Dalwai.
Meanwhile, talking about Yogi’s visit to Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena leader said, “Any leader in the country is free to visit any state and can talk about business, but why do people depend on Mumbai for business, why don’t they go?” Ahmedabad or any other place?”
He added that the leaders of our states have worked hard to make the city prosperous, so the leaders of other states should also work for development in their states so that we do not need to depend on any particular state.
Dalwai also criticized the UP Chief Minister’s Mumbai visit to attract domestic investors ahead of the Global Investors Summit in Lucknow next month.
‘Maharashtra has provided good facilities for industries. Therefore, instead of taking industries from Maharashtra, new industries should be developed in the state. Create an environment for them to thrive,” Dalwai added.
Uttar Pradesh is committed to making a trillion dollar economy and has successfully completed roadshows abroad to invite foreign investors to the Global Investors Summit (GIS 2023) and introduce the opportunities available in various sectors of the state through its team of ministers and officials. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself has now taken charge to bring in a large amount of domestic investment in the state.
The Chief Minister will begin his domestic roadshow today from the country’s financial capital Mumbai, meeting the country’s leading tycoons and bankers as well as leading film personalities in connection with the upcoming Film City in Noida.
Notably, in December, eight delegations of ministers and senior officials, led by Chief Minister Yogi, visited 21 cities in 16 countries and received investment proposals worth Rs 7.12 lakh crore.
A road show in nine Indian cities starting today is part of that exercise.
One-to-one meetings with various industrialists will also be held before and after the road show as per Chief Minister Yogi’s schedule. The meeting will be on Business to Government (B2G) basis.
