Mumbai: The Kolhapur district collector said in the notice that Kirit Somaiya’s life was in danger. It is suspected that there was a plot to assassinate Somaiya by forming a mob in Kolhapur. Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Pravin Darekar demanded an inquiry into the matter.
Darekar said that Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has also said that the Chief Minister is informed about such action. The Home Minister says that this is an action at the Collector level. So we were not informed. So, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut says that the Chief Minister’s Office did not have any information in this regard. The Chief Minister has nothing to do with all this. Action is being taken as per the order of the Home Minister. He said the statements of the two leaders showed how much albel there is in both the parties.
Darekar said, Chandrakant Patil has told in the press conference how the BJP is running in western Maharashtra. He has challenged Hassan Mushrif. We are ready to fight a legal battle in all respects. Why fear if not tax. As the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken out their cases, now the excavation of our party leader is underway. But they should keep in mind that no matter how much excavation is done, BJP cases will not be found. If there is no tax, there is no reason to be afraid. Therefore, he clarified that BJP is not begging for such threats.
Somaiya had gone to Washim to discuss the case of MP Bhavana Gawli. He had also visited Ratnagiri in the case of Anil Parab. If both the places went smoothly, then what exactly is happening in Kolhapur that Mushrif had to take thousands of people to the streets. He also questioned why Somaiya’s life was in danger in the order issued by the district collector.
