Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed the G20 delegation of member countries at the Biswa Bangla Convention Center in New Town Kolkata on Monday.
The first Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion of the G20 was launched in Kolkata today. The three-day meeting will focus on principles of digital financial inclusion, remittance costs and access to finance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain and UAE are India’s specially invited guest countries. India is hosting G20 meetings in several cities across the country.
During the weekly media briefing on January 5, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that India will host the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting. But he did not fix the date or venue of the meeting.
“There is a G20 calendar that we announce as we go forward. …Yes, there will be a meeting of foreign ministers. As usual we will host the G20 Foreign Ministers meeting. I think it will be in Delhi, that is the plan. Let’s lock it and we will announce (other details) when it is appropriate,” Bagchi had said.
“We will try to announce other meetings of the G-20,” he said while replying to a media query.
Inspired by the G20 Presidential theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – “One Earth One Family One Future”, as well as the Prime Minister’s concept of a ‘whole government’ approach, India will host more than 200 meetings in over 50 cities in 32 different cities. workflow
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India has an opportunity to offer G20 delegates and guests a glimpse of India’s rich cultural heritage and a unique Indian experience.
The Indian G20 Chair has planned a year-long India Experience for G20 member countries, special invitees and others.
